Elena Vertti, LCSW

she/her/hers

Elena believes the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. She understands that starting therapy can feel vulnerable and meets clients with compassion, curiosity, and care. Direct yet gentle, she offers a safe space where clients can explore themselves and their interpersonal patterns, noticing dynamics that often mirror everyday interactions. Elena believes healing happens in relationship, including the one she builds in therapy.

Elena has experience working in community mental health and community health centers, supporting individuals and families from diverse cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a second-generation Mexican fluent in Spanish, she understands how culture, family roles, and lived experience influence how people navigate their lives and therapy.

Elena works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, interpersonal concerns, family conflict, and life transitions, as well as those seeking greater insight into how they experience themselves and others. Her clinical work is client-centered and informed by interpersonal and psychodynamic theories. She is trained in and passionate about interpersonal process group therapy and brings this lens into individual sessions.

Elena received her Masters of Social work at Aurora University and continues to pursue ongoing training to deepen her skills and provide thoughtful, responsive care.

Outside of work, Elena enjoys birding, going for runs, reading, and learning new languages. To reach Elena, call 773-345-8330 x230 or email her at evertti@chicagocounselingservices.com.
