Elda’s philosophy as a therapist is that life is not exclusively black or white, but gray. She understands how thoughts and feelings can overlap, and helps her clients reconcile these gray areas.
Elda’s style is balanced: she meets her clients where they are and challenges them when appropriate. Elda's approach is gentle, attentive, and humorous. She believes in the importance of establishing and maintaining a healthy bond with her clients, ensuring that they feel secure, confident, and embraced every step of the way to healing.
Elda sees children and their families, and individual adults. Her areas of treatment include: men's issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and emotional dysregulation. She works with people of all backgrounds, and is particularly passionate about serving fellow Latinos, offering bilingual therapy.
Elda employs a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychoanalytic Therapy. She earned her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Chicago and a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from DePaul University.
Elda is a proud, 1st generation Mexican-American woman. She has a background in vocal performance and enjoys living an active lifestyle.
