Anne Bouleanu is a compassionate and curious therapist who believes self-discovery is key to creating a healthier, more fulfilling life. Anne is a trauma-informed therapist who is passionate about helping others work through life struggles and successes to bring meaning to their lives.
Anne primarily works with adults, children, and adolescents. She works with clients experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, depression, relational and attachment struggles, and life transitions. Anne's clinical orientation integrates the Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) model with client-centered practices, and existential perspectives. She utilizes play therapy with children, empowering clients of all ages to embrace their internal strengths to lead more joyous lives.
She takes a collaborative and strengths based approach, using her natural kindness, authenticity, and humor throughout the therapeutic process. Before her work as a clinician, Anne previously worked as an international journalist, bringing light to humanitarian crises around the world and the resilience of the human spirit.
Anne has an MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University, an MA in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies from King’s College London, as well as a BA in Politics & Government from Illinois State University.
